Welcome to The Spyglass Inn
(formerly Hagen’s Cottage)
Join your hosts, Pat and Arden for a pleasant stay in one of Homer, Alaska’s finest bed&breakfasts.
Pat will show you to your room, with quilts she made during the long winters in Alaska. She’ll tell you
all the bed and breakfast rules (no smoking inside, no pets) and will question you about food preferences so that she can treat
you to a spectacular breakfast.
Arden might tell you what your home rooftop looks like,
or the size of your fireplace chimney, or what you look like sleeping late on December 24th.
Both Pat and Arden will help you find what you’re looking for in Homer, or something to look for - - the scenery,
the wildlife, a fishing or sightseeing tour, suggested things to do and places to eat your lunch or evening meal.
Pat will
proudly tell you about this year’s baby moose, when it was born, it’s first trip out of the woods, learning to
romp in the back yard. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the littlebugger yourself.
"A fairytale cottage. Decorated with quilts designed by Pat. Mommy and baby moose wandered around the walking path behind the cottage when we were there at the end of May. Arden, the host, is a professional Santa and former radio personality. Great hot breakfast and lengthy conversation with Arden and Pat. We were given a take-along cold breakfast of ham, cheddar, homemade rolls, and molten chocolate cupcakes when we went fishing at 6:00 AM. Good value. Great memory"
